sore feet

having problems with my feet working on a factory floor all day, can any of you folks advise me on a comfortable pair of safety shoes? thanks.

Steel toe caps? Crikey I didn't know you could put the words comfortable and safety shoes in the same sentence. I don't have to wear them very often these days but usually in pain within about 1/2hr of putting them on.

thanks for the help folks, yes safety shoes or boots are mandatory in my workplace and half an hour seems about right, my feet are aching all day podiatrist can't even help as they are not allowed to put a full insole inside my shoes. i would thought some specialist help may be available.

We sell safety footwear and I would say most of the modern day stuff is pretty good, you can get numerous styles and some of the heel & soles are of a very soft springy PU. You say that you are not allowed to put full insoles inside the shoes, I don't understand that, can you explain?

You may want to look at this range, not cheap from Finalnd, but you have to know your size to the millimeter and they do an extra width fitting.

neil, i have been wearing safety shoes and boots for 30 years, i have tried all the big brand names and cheaper ones too some are nice and light, some weigh a ton, i have tried the trainer type as well, what they all have in common is the soles are very uncomfortable for me, the vast majority of discomfort i find is at the ball of my feet, any you recommend ?

Hi Dave, sorry as I have said already in all the time I have been selling safety footwear we have never had a request for insoles. Shoes are personnel to everyone, if you did not have a problem then I would recommend Sievi but you say you have tried so many I would not want to.

The reason I gave you the previous lead for Sievi safety Foot Wear http://www.sievi.com/uk/products/accessories have you looked? there are so many insoles on offer.

I have bought a pair of their Non Safety Footwear above ankle boots goretex I find very comfortable and very springy on the soles but whether they will suit you, I really do not know.

What I do know is that I have on my left foot some hard skin at the ball of the foot which makes all my shoes a little uncomfortable, I am tackling the hard skin first.
