Maybe numb fingertips are cause by having to prick them so often, not neuropathy

MY finger sides are sore after only 2 weeks of testing darn it!!!

It's a pain, isn't it Lucy

but as you get to know what you can eat you can reduce the need to testing so often.

Massaging the fingertips b4 pricking helps, esp if its cold (not today)

Also I'm guessing you're already doing it but rotating fingers and sides of fingertips (left and right - not back and front
 ) helps

I keep forgetting which finger I pricked and where LOL

I have never had bruised fingers before though.

Can you turn your pricker down a bit? I don't find mine hurts very often but I have it on the lowest level.
I've got so many f holes in my fingers that on a couple of occasions whilst running I 've been able to draw blood without even pricking them.

I have found that if my lancet is getting a little blunt it hurts, so change it every day. I always do the side of my fingers, but not my little or ring fingers as I have no feeling in those fingers on both hands due to neuropathy. All my finger sides look like wee tea bags

Also remember... you have two hands and each finger has two sides! a lot of people only test on one side... you can do the other side even if your then a bit cack-handed doing it.
