Recently I have been getting sore spots at the cannulate on site from where the needle/cannula is inserted! Use to get them on my bottom so stopped using the bottom for sites but now I've got a few on my abdo one at present is quite sore! My control is rubbish at present could this be the cause? Can anyone recommend what to do and also anything I can use to treat them? X

Try a different type of cannula is the easiest solution to try.
As to the control, then you have to decide what the cause is....... have you basal tested and sorted out your basals? Basal is always the first port of call.

What length cannula are you using? The slimmer you are the less needle length you need...it may be something as simple as that.
Are you keeping them in for the recommended time?

What type cannula are you on? I know the new flexlink for the insight gave me bad holes in skin, much larger, bloodier and longer to heal than the d's.

I see you use the omnipod - do these come with flexible sets and a choice of steel ones?

Poor control will increase risk of infection and reduce healing, so good site rotation is crucial while you get your blood sugars down. Try alternating left and right sides as well as obviously siting the new cannula well away from the previous site each time.

And as DD said use the shortest needles that work for you.
