Very happy! I made a screen shot right away for proof, as I think I won't be seeing this very often, if ever again :p

looking at that screen shot I'd say you phone needs charging and the signal strength is abysmal! :hilarious::p

Since you appear to have the diabetes spectacularly under control  (for this past week at least!) could you get one of those home mobile phone signal boosters from your provider? derailing the post I know! ;)

but very well done indeed and yes you have earned bragging rights :singing:

Thanks, I didn't even know they exist. But a bit of googling suggests that these boosters pick up the supposedly stronger signals outside the house to repeat them indoors. I think it wouldn't help in my case, as the signal outside my front door is the same as inside my living room, and in the garden there's no signal at all most of the time. So probably no use repeating something that isn't there in the first place. I'll just act old-fashoned and stay in one place when making a phone-call. And refrain from doing so when the wheather or whatever it is that influences these signals is particularly bad :) There's always whats-app in case of emergencies.

It's a fine post to derail ;) It's not as if I'm looking for important answers that get snowed under by derailing, so derail away as much as you like!

Just to continue the derailment! My Network does something called WiFi calling. If the phone signal is rubbish, as it is in my house too, your call is routed via WiFi. The minutes are still taken from your calling allowance.

Hi @Antje77 As my mother used to say "Being smug on occasions can be a virtue." This is definitely such an occasion! I'm very pleased for you.

I'd second this - worth a try if you're struggling with phone calls.

I don't get a reliable mobile signal in most of the house, and I don't have a landline for an Internet connection / router either.

So my set-up is a bit strange: I have a mobile wireless router hanging over the window where the signal is okay, and my phone has been set up to use WiFi calling via that router, so I can use the phone anywhere in the house. So it's all handled via the mobile network and wirelessly, not exactly what the creators of WiFi calling had in mind, but it works.

There's a tiny delay both sides of a call, so often one person can start speaking and it sounds like the other person is cutting across the other, but you learn to be patient :)
