Soup sort of

Buying a treat is always nice .....:) I just love my soup saucepan and hand blender for soup ...but a slower cooker you can make all sorts of lovely stews and hot pots yum yum ....hope you are feeling so much better as well .....eat to heal ...that is a new saying !

That's what we use Kat, a big stock pan and a hand-held blender, if you use bacon lardons add them in when reheating the soup.

Gosh. I'm hungry now and I had my lunch 2 hours ago  Thanks for the recommendations for a slow cooker, as lately I have been so unwell and tired I couldn't make or cook anything substantial, so this will be great to do first thing in the morning, or midday. :) Brilliants posts :D

Asda and such do lots of pre packed veg if your not well easy to pop in and just add stock..hope you feel better soon

I love my big pan ....pumpkin soup soon for Halloween ....actually I cheat and make butter squash and carrot ....with a sweet potato ....

I think my slow cooker came from tesco for about £12. I use mine every week in the winter. Mainly do currys, but also the odd casserole. Got a massive Wok I use for soups.

I got a snazzy one from sainsburys for less than £20. I say snazzy because you can fry the meat in it first. (If needed)

Cooking broccoli and Stilton because this post made me think of it!!

My kind of soup there is nothing as good as a steaming bowl of home made soup when the weather is awful

Oh you have set me off too I'm so fancing a nice veggie soup...I've got lots of bits of veggies to use up...think I may use up my carb allowance for tom .and pop some in the slow pot tonight. Mmmm

Love my slow cooker as well. Soup, we had mince this week with veg; pulled pork is fantastic, you can cook any meats, not tried fish as it cooks so easy and quick.
I usually put the cooker on overnight and all food done by morning, leave to cool, then bag and freeze separate portions.

Mine provided dinner, the rest is now cooling to go in the freezer for another day
