Looking for the best VLC cuppa soups - anybody got suggestions? Bearing in mind I know home made from scratch is better and I have done that for many years, but just now I've not got the energy to cook at all.

I find all the processed ones too yucky.
Try marmite or bovril or powered stock (Marigold is good) instead
I quite like Batchelors or Knorr soups though, but not sire which ones are lower carb..

Are you looking very low carb (because in the low carb forum) or very low calorie (because VLC usually is an abbreviation of low calorie)?

Either way, a stock cube works very well for a warm, salty, soupy kick, I like the vegetarian herbs variety best for a mug.
I also sometimes buy a pack of cheap instant noodle soup, throw the noodles away (even the chickens won't eat them) and just have the small packs of spices and oil for a more spicy kick with 'shrimp', 'duck' or 'chicken' flavour.

Ah sorry Antje, I meant very low carb. Not well just now and head is minced! I love chicken noodle soup, will try that
:) - I can't drink a mug of hot water with a stock cube in it though, I need the actual soup mix with dried veg etc. I suppose the best way is to get a pkt of each kind and just try it and read the label at the same time. TY!
