Spam

Is it not possible for the site software to reject posts that are not in Latin characters?
What is needed is mods not in the UK/ European time zones.

I seem to recall vividly at the last moderator election there was a Australian candidate, who would if elected, could have got rid of the Chinese spam bots.

So it's hard to say this. but enjoy your spam people as the opportunity was there...

They constantly hit the site between 11 a.m. and 1 pm. Australian Eastern time and often 10 pages of junk

That's not what quite a few in the NH ever get to see

May I suggest that, if there was a southern hemisphere candidate at the recent elections, who was only a near miss, that they could be invited by management, co-opted, to join the moderator team. I'm sure many would be very grateful, if this could happen. Hopefully, such a person would be honoured, rather than miffed by the previous result.

Very sensible but I Suspect that would be far too logical for software programmes to deal with!
If software followed logic then the chinese bots would have given up attacking the site after the first couple of multiple deletions of their posts.
Go easy on the softies.
