Special shoes for neuropathy.

Good morning all,
I am seeing adverts everywhere for shoes that claim to help with neuropathy.
I have tried various creams and socks and to date nothing has made much difference.
Has anyone had a positive experience of these shoes?

Sorry, no experience either way.

Given that the neuropathic pain seems to come from the nerves themselves being damaged, I'm generally sceptical about external treatments - shoes/socks/ointments etc - that claim to help. They may well be more comfortable in themselves, and I'm a big fan of things like Gentle Grip socks if you've got a tendency to oedema, but I don't see how they could affect the basic problem.
