Spikes

Dear Mariem,
A spike is a sharp rise in your blood sugar over a short period of time- sometimes stress can do this!

Mark's right, but a food with a high GI (glycemic index) such as bread or white rice/pasta, or obviously products containing sugar/glucose, are more likely to be the culprits. In other words, too many bad carbs!
Just noted your on insulin, so look for more guidance from the T1s on this forum. I guess not enough insulin to cover the carbs would cause a spike.
