Although i am used to carb counting (Type 1 22yrs) i am finding it more difficult to control levels during the day. I note on the Forum that some users find their night time insulin does not carry through 24 hrs and split doses between night and morning. I think this may be my problem and am about to 'experiment' with this process.
For my experiment i'm thinking of (day 1) doing the usual 30 units levimir followed by 5 units the next morning......then 25 units that night and 5 units in mornings thereafter for say a week. The following week i will split 20 (night) and 10 (morning) until finally i will try a 15/15 split
Can anyone speak from experiance and advise if this has worked for them and also if this gradual process is the best way to split?
Any help much appreciated
