Spring (i.e. second) COVID-19 booster?

Hi everyone. It's been more than 6 months since I got my COVID-19 booster so I'm starting to get anxious about fading protection. Are we eligible with T1D for having a "weakened immune system" or do we just have to sit and wait? I have family in the USA who have no underlying health conditions and they've all had their second booster already!

The second booster list is not the same as the shielded list or even the order the first ones were done in. https://assets.publishing.service.g...ile/1057798/Greenbook-chapter-14a-28Feb22.pdf Page 28 covers the spring booster. It is only those immune compromised (diabetes is a separate category) - which is the table below from page 16. Obviously some people may be both diabetic and immune suppressed but diabetes alone is not the definition being used. Pretty sure the USA criteria does include diabetes for the second booster unlike ours. Apparently type 2 is a greater risk than type 1 for severe disease/outcomes - so good news for you, not me, there.

@pinewood the way I see it, I may not be able to be cured of Type 1 but there is plenty I can do to minimise my risk.
The risk is higher if overweight and with a HbA1C over 75.
So, I am managing my diabetes closely and exercising regularly to ensure my weight does not creep up.

It also seems to depend on how old you are and whether the GP who oversees the site approves you for a second booster. I’m 72 and the GP overseeing the local hub’s queries on the day approved one for me.
