I used to order from SRSLY but after numerous delivery issues and being let down by them on more than one ocassion I have switched to Heylo. I really rate their bread, pizza bases and their bagels, however they don’t do croissants!!!

It's not looking good but some Waitrose branches say it' currently suspended but expect it to return* and the shelf label is still up. In others the shelf is now stocked with high carb bread.

*I'm no marketing expert but this might be a ploy to keep us coming in to do our shopping. Frankly there are not many products that I need to go to Waitrose for anymore, not to mention the 30% markup on identical products I can get elsewhere.

I've emailed Waitrose. Bad news they are no longer stocking it due to low demand. I did tell them how popular it was with diabetics who found it difficult to buy as it was always out of stock. I also ripped them off about it being on the highest shelf and pushed to the back in my local store. Whilst I was at it I grumbled that there was nothing low carb to order in the cafe. They said they would pass my comments upwards. However, I doubt anything will change. So its back to looking for the perfect recipe. I've made some of the all purpose bread, pizza recipes in Caldesi's Italian book. Its OK but lacks the fluff of a yeast product. I thing I might try a Megga bread recipe next. Can't remember if I've tried that one out.

Bagels arrived today at 1130 (Yodel). Order better packed this time, in a strurdy box with proper tape.

Anyway - I hadn't had a bagel for over five years. So I did one lightly toasted, ham, cream cheese, Silver Springs jalapeno mustard.

Exceeded expectations, and exceeded wildest dreams really. These are really really good. Miles better than the dense doughy stuff normally available from supermarkets, and as good as the best deli products. Recommended.

I rather like the Heylo bagels. Yet again its order and delivery. Holland & Barret used to sell them in the fridge. But no longer.
