I am in pain now, stabbing pain near small toes on top, lasts for couple of seconds then goes ok for about two minutes then back can not sleep

I used to get this when my BS was higher. Now it is lower, I don't get it at all.

Always best to get these things checked over Icp, it may/may not be diabetes related but only a doctor can say for sure.

I had them too. Calf stretching exercises, warm legs, warm feet, always wearing slippers and even bed socks at night and they went as blood sugars went down. I used to get bad cramps too. Pamper your legs and feet and keep them warm. It's the cold, it sneaks up on you. Don't walk bare foot around the house or even just in stocking feet. A good regular massage with a long handled brush in warm soapy water and your feet won't nag you anymore. Just look after them.

You may find calf stretches and touching your toes easier in the shower. Less painful with hot water flow!
