Yes, Jameson's whiskey is really lovely paired with coffee! An expert on site tells me it's because Jameson's is smoked with peat, not wood, which gives it a more mellow taste. Expert says this is true for all Irish whiskeys, and why is chosen for the nicely named Irish coffee 
. I really like a drop or two of Jameson's in a night-time decaf with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon on top.
Nice to know about the alternatively sweetened flavouried iced coffee at starbucks. Here in northern Aotearoa we are leaving the cold season and entering the warm one - hopefully sooner rather than later. And nice to join in on the Starbucks train as a social coffee-flavoured cool and yummy thing.
