started taking Metformin - not feeling too great

had bloods done yesterday...was out shopping and got a text from my GP surgery saying ring them back , rang them and seems my thyroxine levels were down so to pick up a prescription for an increase in Thyroxine......just had another phone call from the surgery saying my iron levels were down i said so should I stop taking the metformin she said No carry on till next wendesday when i have an appointment at the diabetic clinic where they may wish to take more bloods.... trouble Is i have had a bad tummy for three days now and am sure its the meds grrrrrrr

It's difficult to tell when you have a number of medical problems isn't it? At least you will get to discuss it with your diabetes team anyway, and once you get your thyroxine and iron levels sorted out it will be easier to pinpoint the cause of any upsets
