Hi all,

I am being started on the Omnipod Dash Pod system tomorrow. I think I have everything I need but I am certain that I read that I should not take my basal insulin tomorrow morning before my appointment. In my head this makes total sense, but I now cannot see where I think I read it. Has anyone been through the same and can advise. Thought I was completely ready to go and now panicking I'll do something wrong!

Hi Jennystokes82

I can only share the guidance I was given and that was not take my basal on the day I started pumping insulin. Not sure if it makes any difference, my appointment was at 09.00am and I took my basal in the morning

Hope this is of some help

Thanks for your reply. I have not taken my basal this morning. My appt in at 9 so I’ll see what they say but I’m certain they said not to. Hoping the pump is a game changer
