I have my first omnipod clinic tomorrow.

Is it worth me taking my other half with me? Didn’t know if people did this and if it’s worth it to get another person’s head around stuff!

I transitioned to a pump (not the OmniPod) a couple of years ago.
This was done with a group of 4 others. Some brought along a partner, others went alone.
There was a lot to take on board but there is also a lot of information available on the internet and any good diabetes team should be available on the end of the phone or email to assist if you have any problems.

So, I would say, based on a my related experience, only you know whether having your partner with you would be useful as it depends on how you learn and what your partner is like.

If your partner is interested in the information, then take them. If not, well then don’t. Omnipod is a pretty simple tool. So more than likely you should be fine on your own.

Then if you do have a question, just ask it here. I’m sure someone will be able to answer. And there is a YouTube video for everything, including Omnipod...
