Starvation for 5 days in type1 and type2 mice look to restart the pancreas cells.

I did not suggest that you should fast or that you should do it unsupervised, I sought to make people aware that newsbot had covered this.

I can't find specific reference in this particular experiment, but it does talk about a Type 1 mouse 'model', so I'd guess they used one of the techniques mentioned here:

So yes, not very satisfying. And, poor mice.
 
well we are not mice after all, but I praise those that keep looking for a cure and something that can better any of our conditions
