statin use.

I am a D2 for the last 20 years.Owing to muscle weakness my doc has discontinued statin treatment for me and has instead asked me to take Ezetemibe 10 mg daily .I have still not started this. Anybody here taking it ? If so does it have the same side effects as statins ? Any response welcome
 
This gives me the opportunity to make a personal statement. So far, for every kind of pill, I have had adverse side effects but never the intended benefit (and I don't want to hear anything about me feeling the benefits when I am 110 years old). My avowed intention is to come off every pill with the agreement of my HCP's so that it goes on my record and I am not offered it again.

Only one to go. It has added fifteen years to my life it is true. I feel 88 but am only 73. I shall endeavor to get my life back.

Do you know why you are taking any of these drugs? Did the GP give you a reason?
