Hi I have had a Kenalog Steriod Injection in both legs for Burstis and my blood sugar levels have gone through the roof. I have had to increase insulin dose and take Nova Rapid. It has now been over 7 days and still got high blood readings and still have to take extra insulin and rapid. Please does anyone know how long these affects will last.

Unfortunately, you are asking a question like "how long is a piece of string?" and the answer is the usual "it depends".
Everyone is different, every injection is different, every day of the week is different.
All you can do is extra tests and corrective insulin doses.
As usual, the more you stress about these things, the more your BG will rise. So, if it is possible try to relax.

Hi Yvette1976,
I had a steroid injection 1 week ago and my blood sugars have gone through the roof too! I’m on double the amount of insulin I usually take -.- just wondering if yours have gone back to normal yet?
