I am a type 2 diabetic and have been since 2012. On the 20th August i had a Kenalog steroid in L4 because of severe back pain migrating down to the back of my right knee. After 2 days the steroid started to work and i felt a lot better. Shortly after that the side effects kicked in. Burning throat and chest, frequent urination, stabbing intermittent headache, giddiness unsteady on feet, flushing, blood sugar low, had to reduce insulin by 10 units, upper chest pain, dry cough and runny nose, then followed further symptoms, food lying very heavy on stomach, increased pulse, blood pressure and flushing until food digested, bowel movement not good, tingling hands and also arms overnight, mouth pain. Two hospital visits, one by ambulance due to chest pain. After 4 weeks symptoms have eased a little but my insulin requirements are still reduced by 10 units and have now been diagnosed with low sodium. That's it in a nutshell, never again!

Oh my word, just found your post. I am not good at technology so hope this gets to you. On my birthday 20/8, I had a steroid injection in my knee. I suffered a dreadful reaction so similar you you. Today 7 weeks later I am not at all well, have now developed heavy legs and arms , still blood pressure can shoot up, raised pulse, gastric issues etc. Been to Doc today. She feels it is steroid related. Never again!
Hope you are better by now
