waking bg 4.9

+ 1.30hrs breakfast time 5.5 then 3 slices of burgan toast with cheese and marmite not together tho lol
+2.30hrs 8.2
+2hrs 9.6
+2hrs 8.3
this seems little high today as all ive had is breakfast and black coffee with hermetas sweetner and two pints of robinsons sugar free squash my avg for week since yesterday morning according to app is 6.56mmol/l

Thanks

That'll be the steroids! They will increase you blood glucose, but it'll correct when you finish the course. Also, if you have an infection that can push sugars up as well. Exceedingly unlikely (imo) to be the antibiotics. If you take insulin an increase in basal can help counteract the steroid rise, if you don't I guess you have to ride it out.

Hope you feel better soon

Always a good idea to follow "sick day rules" when feeling unwell, as a rule you become more insulin resistant when ill, this link explains it well if you are unsure http://www.diabetes-support.org.uk/info/?page_id=141

Thanks again xAoifex

That was very good information i had a good read of the sick day rules and other pages and increased my boulas injection hopefully i can keep my levels down i so desperatly want my next two month Hba1c down so i can hopefully get of insulin again just my luck for my astmah to play up and get chest infection
