Hi. Is it the My fitness pal calorie counter app? There seems to be a lot of them.Like the others, I agree you don't appear to be eating enough. That level of starvation will trigger low mood alone, without anything else.
It's a shame you don't favour yoghurt, as it's a great go-to standby for those hungry, or can't be bothered to prepare anything moments. We all have those. What don't you like about yoghurt? Is it just plain yoghurt or something else?
Can you eat nuts? I introduced a few nuts with my lunch, in an attempt to balance my calories versus energy, and that has helped. In an ideal world, I wouldn't bother with nuts, as I have to be quite careful. Too many (for me, means not very many at all), and there are unfortunate consequences, but to be honest, they are easy to consume, and I don't feel too tempted to over indulge.
The food diary is great. Using myfitnesspal, I was also able to identify I needed to eat more, and have continued with it since. Once you get it going, it takes moments to update.
Perhaps if you tell us what you were eating before diagnosis we could suggest some alternatives.
Starvation isn't the way forward to a healthy, happy and rewarding life. But, you know that already..
Have you had diabetes antibodies tested? As hypothyroidism and PA are both autoimmune you should get GAD and islet antibodies checked.I don't like the texture of yoghurt. It'd the same with cream but maybe that's a blessing with the cream. I've always been a very plain eater. Only eat English and only then with no herbs, spices or sauces. I used to eat just what I fancied but never a lot of anything. I'm so shocked that this has even happened to me but in light of the Pernicious Anaemia and Hypothyroidism, my GO said it was bound to happen. I just want to eat what I like and the list given to me earlier sounds fine to me, minus the yoghurt of course. I have an unopened pack of sliced almonds in the kitchen but haven't dares open them. Maybe I just should.

I think that most with LADA, that is late onset autoimmune diabetes will have to on insulin a lot sooner than type twos. But I can´t say I really know this. I myself manage well on LCHF so far but it has only been some months since diagnosis. My GP thinks I am type 2 as the antibodies test came back negative.Goodness me. Why has nobody even suggested this to me? I'm 62 so I don't know if that's late middle age or young old age. Anyway I most certainly will ask and thank you for informing me. If it proved to be that, would there be a difference in my treatment which at the moment is diet only?

Yes. That's the one I use. For me, it's also about the running total and proportion of the carbs/fat/protein. It also help if you want to know when you last ate something, and coupled with your meter, you can understand how your body handled it.Hi. Is it the My fitness pal calorie counter app? That's made me chuckle because I've just downloaded it and recorded my morning coffee. I've got over 1,000 calories left for today and I can't do that so all's good. Thank you so much. It's excellent.

But, you can make efforts to consume more. If you don't it's just a matter of time before you gorge on whatever your comfort food is, or get weak and unwell. In that situation, you may find your family just want you to eat, and become less supportive of the changes it makes sense to make.I think I'm going to be having those "s*d it" moments every day because I can't eat enough to use that amount of calories. I WILL achieve eventually!
