This winter and through to next year I want to make a concerted effort to improve my PBs at 5k, 10k and HM. So far this week, the signs are good, with a 10k PB in training (but still a long way from my target) and the longer runs are going well as well.
Two weeks ago I did a 16km (10mile) run in 1h 30, average HR 145, max 153 and 60g carbs per hour
Today, different route, probably slightly harder, same distance 1hr 25, ave HR 145, Max 157, and with 45g carbs per hour.
So looking good on multiple fronts, getting some speed back into my legs again, and getting more efficient at doing it.
