Oh right, works out a bit cheaper than the libre then over 6 months. I've requested some more info on it.. With the libre you wear a small sensor, and scan it with your phone/a regular sized meter.
What do you wear/use with the dexcom?

Ahh that's a shame, would have been great if they had an android app.Something very similar with the G5, google it and you'll see it. Then you have an iphone near you and it sends from the sensor to the phone automatically. It then alarms if your bg is below or above a set range that you decide on. no scanning involved.

So do you get a little device it sends the data to automatically then? I.e. The difference from the libre is you don't have to manually scan?
What does it transmit to if I don't have an iPhone?No thats the transmitter which is clipped to the sensor very much like Libre. only difference is you keep reusing the transmitter unlike libre where you throw it away

I've been in touch with dexcom about the g5. They said an android receiver app is potentially coming in the 2nd week of January.I think its more to do with the variation in operating systems, you can follow the G5 on an android phone but it cant receive.
sensors = 48 each (upto 4 weeks)
transmitter = £250 for 6 months (potential to 'hack' the battery for reuse with xdrip)

However the told me a transmitter costs £200 and lasts for 100 days (about 3 months). Sensors cost £50 and last 7 days (may last longer but they only support up to 7).
This is a lot more expensive than than the libre...?!
Those are the length of time they are in warranty for not how long they last
If you are on facebook join the xdrip G5 group. @iHs am I wrong about transmitter? I thought you got 2 for £200?
I think one of the biggest things for me is the low profile of the libre. The pro active notifications of a real cgm are enticing though!This sounds good, I have been looking at these as I currently use libre but I always thought it worked out way more expensive. Is anyone else using the G5 and how do you find it? How much is it costing you? Many thanks
