No-one has literally said "One size fits all" as far as I can see to be fair-LCHF is not for you Douglas obviously and that's fine of course but for the many folks that do enjoy success on a LCHF regime I would suggest you reading the quote below which I remember reading somewhere but stuck in my mind.

If you can't do it maybe I can.
If it's no good for you, it might be for me.
If it doesn't suit you, it just might suit me.

I entirely agree with the sentiments of your post, and your quote is spot on.
If lchf doesn't fit totto's friend, possibly steering them away from high GI food to low GI food would be a good approach for this particular individual
