It's really personal preference - there is a lot of research coming out about how glucophage is beneficial for all sorts of reasons beyond diabetes, including heart disease, longevity, etc. So, if you tolerate it well, regularly check your B12 levels (as glucophage can impair absorption), it might be worthwhile staying on it. Up to you really as your BG seems to be doing greatAfter a brief rise when I came off glyclazide my sugar levels have settled back into the 4's and are remaining there quite happily.
I'm tempted to stop the 2x500 glucophage I take to see if I can continue without diabetes drugs. Anyone else done this? Is it a good idea?
