Hey everyone, I’m in the process of getting help or going through the process of finding out if I do infact have diabetes.
My symptoms started off as at the end of the day I would be so thirsty I would drink glasses upon glasses of juice or water or cordial and that seemed to quench my thirst and I was occasionally getting pins and needles type pains in my hand and feet. As the weeks have gone on I’ve been drinking more fluids and going to the toilet to urinate more , today I’m at 15 wees so far) I’m getting headaches the pins and needles pains are happing multiple times a day and are lasting longer plus I’m exhausted all the time and have no appetite most days but others I’ll eat like a king. I’m scared to find out if I do infact have diabetes as the symptoms do match up. Can anyone or is anyone willing to share what it was like for you? Symptoms and stories of finding out or what raised a flag for you? Thank you Courtney

Hi Courts.42 and welcome to the forums.

From what you have said my recommendation would be to go along to your GP and tell him or her the same thing. The things is that while a lot of symptoms can indicate diabetes (and if you've Googled you'll know this already) but it could be something else, or a combination. Nobody on here can or will give medical advice and we're not competent to diagnose.

Should it be diabetes, the sooner you know it and can take control the better.

Best of luck.

I’m scared to find out if I do infact have diabetes
I had no symptoms and only found out through a routine test. I took action and haven't looked back. I am fitter, healthier and lighter than I was then.

It's nothing to be afraid of. Theres technology and support evolving every day, and for most type 2s they can manage their levels by adapting what they eat.

Go for the tests, go now. The sooner you take action the better

If your thirst is due to diabetes and high blood sugar levels, juice is just about the worst thing you could drink, stick to water. And I agree with everyone else, get to the Dr's for a professional diagnosis, the unknown is far scarier than reality
