Hello,

Greetings!

I always store insulin vial and pen, inside refrigerator. Those are used without problem for years. Today I read Mixtard vial's leaflet where it is mentioned "vial that is being used or carried as a spare is not to be kept in a refrigerator". And it should be kept at room temperature (below 25ºC). I also read the leaflet of insulin Actrapid. Same instruction is mentioned for Actrapid. The leaflets can be found online as pdf file.

Where I stay, the room temperature is 31ºC to 32ºC, or more. Now what should I do? What problem may occur if I keep Mixtard or Actrapid inside refrigerator? If someone knows anything about these, please answer.

Thank you in advance for your kind cooperation.

Best regards.

It's fine in the fridge. The keeping it out of the fridge is only because it's more convenient.
And besides, if you've done so for years you already know it isn't a problem :)
