Isnt it funny how our bodies work....

I did the Gym thing this am....45min intensive spinning....do diabetics sweat more than normal people (probably a seperate post) and 45min pilatus, add the 2k run there and back.

Got home BG was 4.9....did my smoothy (Medley of berries and full fat yogurt) 40mins later bg was at 6.....walked to school 3hrs later to collect the 11yr old (shes definitely going on 18) thats about a 2mile walk....

When I got home bg was 3.5...meter was alarming low low low....

30mins later and its 4.6.....no food other than the smoothie.

Am sure my system is in total disarray....:)

yeah and I'm really weird!
I have read that walking lowers your blood glucose levels more than physical fitness, which rises after strenuous exercise. Yeah it's weird!

Nosher apparently if you do strenous exercise (heart rate above 220-age x 80%) for less than 30 mins it raises BG as your liver dumps....however if you go longer than the 30mins then you burn off the sugar again....

I assume a good walk never takes you into the "strenuous" exercise mode so you simply burn the BG in your blood....well thats how I understand it.
