Hello, so for the past 2-3 weeks I have had some strange issues with my blood glucose. I take insulin and it takes forever to even take affect and I eventually am stressed get upset and take more and it is eventually too much. My glucose levels drop very low. Before this I was in control of everything and my levels have been great. Today before eating i took my dosage and i checked 30 minutes after and it was normal I check again after 20 and it is fine 1-2 hours later i check and the number had increased for no reason to 259. This has happened a lot and idk what it is had anyone else felt this or just me?

Also everything is consistent I lift weights 6 days a weak and play volleyball almost everyday. My diet is consistent this stuff just happened put of the blue. Also when i take tresiba before bed and I always wake up with a low glucose level.

Welcome to the forums.
Are you a T1 or a T2 diabetic? (This makes a big difference to the advice given.)

But some things that can put blood sugar levels up...

stress (including some types of exercise)
illness
dawn phenomena (liver puts out sugar in the morning to give you energy)

Also when i take tresiba before bed and I always wake up with a low glucose level.
It's possible that your tresiba levels are too high - please discuss with your doctor.

Hello @BruceMB Welcome

I second what Ellie has said, stress is an important factor with control as it can push our levels up and if your stacking quick acting insulin it can ultimately lead to a hypo.

How are you monitoring your blood glucose levels ?

Going hypo in the morning sounds like your taking too much tresiba, i'd suggest a setting your alarm for 3am and doing a quick test to see what's happening then, but seeing a pattern with hypos indicates your basal needs reducing - you should check in with your nurse/GP/doctor depending on your country and running through this with them.
