Hello, I'm 41 years old from Italy, since 22th of last year I'm experiencing a strange health problem(to me). When I was walking suddenly I felt like vertigos and headache, on the 1th of 2024 I have been sick in bed for a bad cold like 37,7 celsius. On 8th when in the morning I wake up I felt very strange my right hand was like numb so I decided to go to the emergency, there they find out that my blood pressure was high especially the diastolic blood pressure , I felt very strange and at the end I run to the nurses telling that I feel terrible and I was going to collapse, so they inject me something to lower it down, at the end I have been resigned because the blood pressure get back to normal. After the Emergency something weird happen to me the headache disappeared and also the vertigos but at their place arrived a strange pain to the left leg from the calf to the base of the foot. Today I visited the medical office open 24h on 24 and the doctor there said that could be neuropathy or just a mechanic pressure on the nerve. So the doctor gave me nicetile da 500 mg. I took it and today the pain is a bit less however is still there but there isn't only the pain to the leg but also some weird left chest pain and fast heart beat. Worried I went also to the cardiologist and he said that the ECG was fine no irregularities found, so as usual I start the pain trip trough all the internet to see what was the cause of my illness and why. The generic doctor told me that there is also a big anxious component in that which I confirm I'm an anxious person but only when I felt those symptoms and not before infarct I have been under anti depressant since almost 30 years now(Zoloft and abilify) only 14 months ago I decide to stop and I was feeling really another peson, happy, with the will to do things and enjoy life like I never felt before. Until this event. Searching on internet I was thinking about all possibilities and I felt very sad and worried. I'm an active person in fact my diabetes was always under control with really good results and my emoglobine was always around 5,50, in this last period I was doing lots of sport. When I start to measure the blood sugar in the last period I find out always that the sugar was low two hours after the meal like even on 80 mg/dll. I'm pretty sure that what I'm experiancing is something related to diabetes and to the inability to get enough sugar to the organs and this worry me really a lot, something that my doctor is unable to understand. I would like to ask if anyone of you ever have this kind of health problem. If you have some more question I can answer

Thank you

.......I'm experiancing is something related to diabetes ......
What about discussing your worries with your diabetes team? Since you have already visited a hospital and a cardiologist, you diabetes doctor or nurse may be the people to ask. Trying to diagnose using the internet is likely to cause more uncertainty.

Hi ato82

One of the rules of this forum is that we can't and won't attempt to diagnose. That would be dangerous for everyone. I have been diabetic for maybe 13 or 14 years now, and have never had symptoms similar to those you describe.

I think you need to talk to proper medical people. Best of luck.

Hi @ato82
I agree with the others that you need to talk to your regular medical doctor and/or diabetes team. Some antidepressants can raise blood sugar and exercise can reduce them so it may also be that your diabetes medication needs a review? (But that is probably a good thing rather than something to be anxious about).

Good luck and once more welcome
