I work that out at about 3.25 litres of water plus other drinks (which do count!). So you may be getting through 4+ litres of fluid daily.
I try to drink 2 litres daily, by filling a 2-litre jug first thing in the morning and drinking it over the day. I usually also have a couple of cups of coffee. That seems to be plenty for me, and I usually don't need the loo in the next 20 minutes.
The two main things about peeing - is it a good colour? (pale straw to pale amber); do you pee out as much as you put in, roughly speaking?
Your bladder can get used to going to the loo too frequently (eg if you always go before going out, you will always need to go before you go out) and it is possible to re-program it by consciously thinking - do I need to go? can I wait 5 (or 10, or 15) minutes, and training it to hold on longer.
Wasn't there something in the news recently about people drinking too much water, and that a couple of litres of fluid is enough for most people? Maybe someone else can help us with this?
