Hi all,

Well, I have been to my doctors again for another diabetes test. I was borderline diabetic after having gestational diabetes in pregancy. My son is now 5 months old. I went for my GTT a few months ago and I was 6.1 borderline diabetic, so the doctor tested me 2 weeks ago and after fasting and I was 5.2, so i am no longer borderline diabetic. I don't get it though, you're either diabetic or not, certainly not complaining though :) just can't seem to get my head around it, cause i had already given birth when i had both tests, both tests have been quite recent but two diferent results?

Also, as most of you maybe aware through my previous posts on aspartame, my liver readings were x 10 what they should be (gamma reading) which indicates a raging alchololic! altjough i dont drink, completely tee total. Just been to see the liver specialist and my liver function readings have gone done to x3 over the last few months. I mentioned aspartame to him and he made a note of it, as he said it does seem odd as you dont have any medication, don't drink alchohol and dont do drugs etc..... he was certainly interested in my theory and so was my nurse too. They seem to be agreeing with me that it can't be anything else why my gamma liver reading was sky high as it has come down alot since having stopped having anything with aspartame in it.

So for those of you who read my story regarding this stuff and my topics and was interested in it, then as first thought, it does look like it's the aspartame that has caused this, which we have thought all along. Even the specialists are looking into this now.

You could have impaired Glucose tolerance, which may or may not progress to diabetes. It often does, especially if you eat the recommended high carb diet. It's worth reducing your carb intake to see if you can get that fasting BG down to normal( around 4.7) At the very least, it won't hurt you.
