Strategy for BG during appointments (dental etc)

Hi,

Is there any guidance on what you should do about your blood sugar ahead of an appointment where treating/having a hypo is not helpful?

I have had a lot of dental appointments this past year for various procedures and they always ask because they know i'm diabetic and I tell them i've ran it a little higher which they say some variation of 'better to be a little higher just in case for these' - but they probably didn't know I was putting myself into the high teens and still stressing because can't treat a hypo if there is a drill / procedure in your mouth!

Now i'm trying to be better at it i'm looking at a b.g. of 7.6 with an appointment in an hour, only 0.4 units of NovoRapid on board but I do tend to drop lower as I get hungry towards meal times so I don't know what the actual advice is.

Thanks!
