Hi all , me again
I'm currently staying with a friend in Manchester , well I was until yesterday (Well I thought I was!)
Basically I set my day out as I always do when I travel for a few hours , planned my train journey , made sure BG levels where fine , had insulin to hand for when I was to settle and eat on my train home. Basically the first train I got on to was running a little late , which put me behind with my connecting train , meaning my final part of the journey would be behind too thus me missing the final part of the journey and I had already pre-booked my ticket for the final part as its cheaper getting it a few days early.
After leaving late and getting into the second part of the journey , I phoned National Rail who said i'd be able to travel on a later train as I had a valid reason , however at this point I had always got myself worked up into a sweat so felt id need to test my BG , suprise suprsise I was pretty high teens. At this point (with my friend still with me thank god!) I went to get something to eat so I could do my insulin , and to my horror , I couldn't find my pen anywhere , it'd gone from the pocket I had put it in! Rather than carrying on and risking another 4 hours with BG levels of high teens to early twenties I decided to visit a local A&E to get sorted. After 4/5 hours I had what I needed , but ****** (mind my french) last train had already gone
Question is , do I have a good case to put toward the train company to try and get my ticket refunded ?
Thanks in advance!
