Hi all, does being stressed raise your BG readings. Have a very tight month this month and it's another 9 days till pay day. I have noticed the my blood sugar readings have been rising over the past few days as its playing on my mind. So is stress to blame. To make matters worse I have my bloods tomorrow with the DBN. ***

When you're stressed your body releases a hormone called cortisol; which is a natural steroid. Steroids increase BG in all mammals. So the answer to your question is unfortunately yup.
If you think about it, it make complete sense. In a stressful situation your body needs fuel; this fuel is sugar and so increasing BG actually helps you. Well, that's if your normal lol. As we're all special it isn't that good :-(
