Does anyone else struggle to get their Hab1c results? Last week I had my first Hab1c test and was told to ring for the results. Ive rang twice, 1st time was told they would be in the following day and to ring back which i did but then was told i couldn't have the results over the phone and the nurse would call if there was a problem. So today i have rang for an appointment to see the doctor for the results as i am going on holiday and need to know.. but i cant get past the receptionist. Its so frustrating, i am doing exactly as the ask but still seem to be left in the dark over my own health, :(

I go in for an appointment to get my results so this has never happened to me. Good luck getting it sorted out!

For the first time in 27 years of having D I had this when I phoned for my last results, I just said well my nurse told me to phone for my results and I do need to know them so.... And I was (reluctantly) given them. Hope you get sorted!

Could you get into the surgery, if we do they will give us a print out. Good luck
Not all surgeries will give a print out or tell the results over the phone ours won't we have to actually see the doctor or nurse to get our results

Its a bit like with the receptionist told e the results were 'good'. What the hell is that?! give me the number lady!! (she did eventually!)

I've never had a problem in the past. I was always told to ring 2 days after the test, which I did and was given the results by the receptionist who I then asked for a print out of all the test results. I was given this that same day by calling in to collect it.

No need to bother ringing now as my medical records are on-line. They appear on the screen within 24 to 48 hours.

Thank you everyone at last the doctor has rang me and given me my result.. i am one happy bunny now with a results of 38 down from 48 in 12 weeks

Well done Lulublue.

By now, your Doctor should have online access to your medical records available to you, although some haven't. They tend not to advertise this fact, but to be honest, it's great to be able to self-service view the results as they come in, rather than have a similar experience to yourself.

Perhaps contact the surgery and ask for access. Initially, I had to prove my ID, so had t take in something like passport/driving license, plus a utility bill. Whilst a bit of a pain, as least I can be reassured they are taking privacy seriously.

No our surgery does not have online access to medical records we can ask to see our record at the surgery but but it says there could be a charge for this.
