Struggling to eat normally

Insects, spiders, heights, clowns, enclosed spaces, and of course Justin Beiber and JLS. So the standards, really. ;)
I don't seem to eat as much as normal people. Everyone else seems to get hungry all the time and I can sometimes go days without eating anything but a few biscuits. It happens every now and again - sometimes I'll go for a few weeks without eating anything and then I go through a stage where I have to force myself to eat even though it makes me feel sick just so I actually start eating like a normal person again. People keep telling me that I might have anorexia, but I'm happy with my weight so I don't think it's that. I'm wondering if it could be an EDNOS (Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified).
I'm 21 now and was diagnosed when I was 14, and, although I've only consciously noticed this over the past few years, I realise that the same thing had been happening throughout my teenage years.
The reason I'm posting this here is because I was wondering if any of this could be diabetes related. Even if it's not, I'm just wondering if anyone has the same kind of problem?

Hi @Abzio_Cappuccino, I would strongly suggest you see your doctor about your eating pattern.
Sometimes we are not the best judges of our own health and diet.
And how do you handle your insulin with your current pattern of food intake? Many hypos? many high BSLs?
How often do you inject your insulin? Best Wishes and love to hear more from you!!!

Hiya! Thanks for responding :)
I've told my doctor and specialist about it and they don't seem too worried, since they don't think it's an eating disorder.
My BGs are the same as normal. It's not affecting my BGs much, I was just wondering if it was a phenomenon related to diabetes, although I've searched through the forums and everyone seems to have the opposite problem of being more hungry.

Hello there - Does your weight remain stable through all of this or is it reducing or increasing at all?

Not having good chocolate, and not cycling
Are you loosing weight? If not, it’s not a problem.

I don’t eat a lot. I’m not loosing weight either. I find that no big meals equates to no need to add big amounts of insulin and also no big swings in blood sugar up- or down. It seems to be working for me.

I do lose weight, but it's not drastic, maybe 3-5kg. It comes back up to normal once I start eating properly again.
I think maybe this is just a personality rather than a diabetic thing, though, because I do consider eating to be a waste of time. Not great for a diabetic, or a human being who needs sustenance, I suppose ;) I was just looking for another opinion :)

I'm not losing a significant amount of weight :) I don't eat much normally - I get distracted doing other stuff and just forget about it - but when this comes along, I end up not eating ANYTHING, going a whole day with nothing, and then maybe a cereal bar the next day. It's certainly not healthy, but I can't tell whether my diabetes could be a cause for it, or whether I'm just a strange one ;)
