I’ve been diagnosed type2 for 2 years now , I have times that I’m really inspired to try and look after myself by eating the correct foods . My weight is up and down. I’m finding it a struggle with what to eat.I know it’s best to avoid white bread and rice etc . But can I eat brown rice and pasta is that allowed is there any bread that I can eat without it really affecting me . Can I eat weetabix and porridge I’m so confused . Also is it safe for me to eat all fruit and veg?

Short answer, no, long answer, maybe in moderation. You need to use your meter & check after eating to see if these foods spike you, it's likely they all do. Brown rice / white rice is a ll rice = carbs = glucose. Don't be fooled by healthy options or low fat, count your carbs.

I buy livlife bread from asda it's really nice, small slices but tasty and only 3.8g carbs a slice. Best to use your meter to see what you can cope with. I do have pasta in moderation but a small portion.
