Hello,
New here
Hoping someone can offer some advice or information..
I’m currently in my first year at university, I want to go study abroad in Canada for my second year.
Part of this is buying medical insurance, my university however can’t tell me 100% if this would cover me obtaining prescriptions over there (it’s purchased through the university in the application process). I’ve contacted the university in hopes they can advise me or point me to someone who can but have yet to receive a reply.
Has anyone had experience of this or even travelling for long periods of time? Would my doctor let me have a large prescription to take with me? I would be there 8/9 months with minimal possibility of returning home during this time.
I’m determined that T1D will not stop me from going! I’m currently on injections if this of helpful (Humalog, Tresiba, Freestyle optimum neo GM)
Thank you in advance
