Thanks for that, very interesting. I am trying to cut out processed foods, but am not sure I could manage without my dairy products!

Quite a story, never heard of the China Study Diet before.

From the article...

Essentially, I stopped eating the wrong foods and started eating pulses, fruit and vegetables. So, for breakfast, I have porridge with fruit and a soya dessert instead of yogurt. For lunch, I have vegetable soup, wholemeal bread and a salad. For dinner, I have rice and vegetables. I cut out all processed foods and dairy.

Good luck to him. Whatever suits his meter. Mine would explode on that lot.

I think it's pretty funny that he claims not to eat processed food, yet snacks on soya dessert - look up the processing methods for soya ;)

But as Dr Bernstein says, "what works, works" - more power to him if it does.

Whatever you think about the man in the article and his diet, his success is surely a cause for celebration and highlights that one size does not fit all either from the stance taken by the NHS or devotees of particular diets.

One of the great things about this forum is that among the struggles that are often expressed we do have these uplifting personal testimonies. My admiration goes to all who achieve their goals for a life that is less troubled by diabetes - however they get there.
