Success story - Gastric Bypass

I was on 60 units of Insulin prior to my Gastric Bypass, I came out of hospital on 20 units and now 8 weeks later i take no Insulin and no other Diabetic medication. I am so happy i just had to share, oh and the other bonus I lost 3 stone!

Katy, that is wonderful! Sounds almost as great as a pancreas transplant. I hope your success continues!

I know a type 1 from Belgium who had this bypass. She is doig great too, but she still needs insulin. Her pancreas provides her with no insulin. Her insulin dosage has significantly decreased.
