I think D ranks up there with other lifelong conditions , mainly because it can last for such a long time ( if we look after ourselves )
it is really really frustrating when you do everything the same in a pattern and get widely variable results -- it is a definite bang the head against wall feeling ...... but .............( in the moment) now try and correct , set an alarm for 1am , check and correct again if needed and try to move on from this frustrating evening .
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
( all of wales -- or at least me) will be rooting for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you EllsKBells@kimrooney89 I know exactly what you mean. Today I had soup for lunch, which is the exact same thing I had yesterday. Yesterday, barely blinked, I think it was 6 point something 2 hours later. Today, exact same lunch, exact same dose, two hours later it was 9.9. Then, twenty minutes after that, after a walk to the shops (5 minutes each way), it was 2.6, which I didn't even feel!
Sending you hugs. It is a really frustrating condition, constant hard work, and it never lets up. I really do empathise with feeling like you are constantly fighting. Just try to remember that you might have lost this particular round in the ring with the stupid thing, but you are still fighting, and still winning the war/match/bout (my boxing parlance is rather poor)!
Not good unfortunately @himtoomorning Kim
how did you get on overnight ?
Currently on the sofa with a blanket, cuddle up with the kids watching the lion king. Hoping the corrections kick in soon...awwww Booooooo
good you straight on sick day rules though
keep your chin up and yourself on the sofa resting
Some days I wish I could just have a wee day off from all the ****; testing, stressing, correcting and constant finger pricking!
@azure thanks love...I've woken up this morning barely able to speak, think I have swollen glands or a throat infection so now the crazy BG levels last night make sense...I've also lost 9lb since last Sunday when I started the LCHF eating so it's not all badHope you feel better soon @kimrooney89 Take it easy. X
Thank you @RobinredbreastWishing you a speedy recovery, get well soon
I was going to ask of you were coming down with an illness when I read your post and now I see you are ill!
I totally understand your frustrations. I'm currently trying to get strict control so that I can have another baby. A hard task when I am honeymooning. It's a hard journey and I just want to be able to just get on with having the baby. Boo!
I wish you a speedy recovery!
Thank you @ickihunGet Well Soon. Thank you for your post. As it can get very frustrating when you cannot foresee the bugs coming and their effects.
