Sudden hypo

On Saturday, I had been slightly high all day (in the 7's) I didn't add any corrections with my novorapid as it had done this before, and my BGL had dropped back to normalish (5's and 6's) by its self the next day. At 21:00hrs (2 hrs after my evening meal) I tested, and was 7.3. (was 7.1 before meal) At 21:30hrs I felt really bad, I wife told me to test my blood, I was shocked to see 1.9 come up. I retested on the other hand, just in case, and it read 1.8.
By this time I felf so bad, my wife was about to call an ambulance.
I was given lucazade and a slice of bread. within 15 mins I was at 2.5, another 15 mins and was at 3.6. Then I vomited everything back.
30 mins later I was at 4.6 and felt a whole lot better.
I hadn't had a change in my drugs, or had anything unusual to eat. I know I hadn't given myself an insulin overdose.
I know the elevated BGL and vomiting could have been caused by a bug or suchlike, but not the sudden drop.
Has anyone had this type of experiance before?
Juat wondering, as my nurse is off till tomorrow.
 
Not within the space of half an hour, it sounds like your insulin was delayed for some reason but that doesn't explain why your bg only went up by 0.2 unless the meal was high in fat , are your injections sites OK?
 
My evening meal consisted of steamed and shredded sprouts, savoy and white cabbage, and shredded crispy bacon. with two small restaurant sized pats of butter to give it a glaze. I have had this dozens of times with no adverse reaction. I rotate my injection sites from each side of my stomach and thighs.
