Sugar free items

Son bought me some sugar free ****** bears.Carbs are 82.2 per 100g.I try not to go above 10 per 100g,but these say 'of which sugars' are 0.3 per 100g .
Are they OK? Type 2 diabetes about 18 months hb1ac was 114 then 58 but up to 74 again after Christmas

Ithey are OK they are made from sweeteners that can not be processed by the body so while the carbs are high you can’t process them

There is however bad side effects of having to many…. If your not careful you’ll have a bad belly and be say on the toilet

If they are that high per 100g they must have some other ingredient that is high carb.

The carbs are probably from polyols, which shouldn't affect your blood glucose.
