As far as sweeteners are concerned xylitol is pretty good, no nasty aftertaste and the sweetness level is the same as sugar so one tsp xylitol is the same as 1tsp sugar.
Biscuits have quite a lot of sugar in them too, mrs Bear makes then to take to work and I was surprised to see how much sugar is in the recipe. i suspect you could make them with xylitol instead of sugar though, may have to ask her to try, haven't had a biscuit in ages.
