Ask for the numbers. Have you told your GP your after meal numbers as well?I have just contacted my doctors for the test results and they have said both came back satisfactory
I can’t get an appointment for another two weeks to discuss any of my levels, as they are saying no action is to be taken, I have booked in , in 2 weeks because I’m not happy they have decided this without looking at my levels for the last 2 weeksAsk for the numbers. Have you asked for a printout of your lab results? I think you can get that without having to have a consultation with your doctor.I can’t get an appointment for another two weeks to discuss any of my levels, as they are saying no action is to be taken, I have booked in , in 2 weeks because I’m not happy they have decided this without looking at my levels for the last 2 weeks

I have just got my blood results and my HBA1c is 34What you really need to do is find out what the actual results were - if you have online access to your records hopefully it will be in there, hopefully one of them will be the HBa1C - that is the one that you need if you can get hold of it. Or you can ask your doctors for the actual numeric result.
Below 42mmol/mol (6.0%) and you're normal
42-47mmol/mol (6.0 - 6.4%) you are pre-diabetes
And 48mmol/mol (6.5%) or over is classed as diabetes
It's possible to have a normal HbA1c and yet have type 2 diabetes. Your 2 hours after meals reading of 12.3 suggest you have diabetes, as does your fasting result of 8.5. Perhaps your HbA1c is normal because you only have a blood glucose spike once a day.I have just got my blood results and my HBA1c is 34
I don’t understand how I can be feeling like this constantly and getting high blood sugar levels.
I don’t eat anything sugary, only have carbs once per day , any suggestions?
Breakfast = coffee no sugarJust out of interest, can you tell us everything you ate yesterday please.

Are you taking milk in your coffee? The skinnier the milk the worse it is for diabetics. Use double cream if you don't take it black.Today all I’ve had since 7am this morning is 2 cups coffee no sugar and my bloods have just read 8.5 !!

Yes. Download the mySugr app. Record your tests along with the food you eat. I test on waking, then before I eat and again 2 hours after the first bite. I also test before bed. After about a week, you will get an estimated HbA1c number. Remember that this reading is based entirely on the data you enter. What is the best step for me to take now to get the doctors to look into my situation more , they are saying based on my blood tests they have no further action to take, but clearly it’s not as final as they are saying.
I have an appointment on 7th aug and am going to continue to test my sugar levels, is there anything else I can do beforehand?
I really appreciate all your comments and help, my doctors are useless and are no help at all️
