There must be a medical reason why this cannot be done, but anyone have any idea why no-one has invented a patch for sugar cravings, just as they have for nicotine?
A nicotine patch works by releasing nicotine through the skin in a way that is much less risky than smoking it to allow users to cut down on intake while they withdraw. Sugar is taken into the body by eating, which isn't in its self risky, nor would it be eliminated by wearing a patch. Unfortunately, if you think you are addicted to sugar, you are going to have to do the hard part of withdrawing, manually.
