So my last hba1c was 7.1% highest since been diagnosed, expected it tbh due to sugars been all over the place for the last 3 months.rang the diabetic clinic and told them that now is the time we should be introducing insulin back, type 1 hooneymooning since sept 2015 and now my sugars are uncontrollable without medication i feel.I rang the diabetic clinic over 10 days ago when she told me she'd get in touch with the specialist, not too happy with the time it seems to be taking for them to get back to me,sugars are hitting 15s now i m feeling very depressed about my situation right about now I wanna take control of my diabetes and don t feel to comfortable with my sugars,if my levels are good than i feel good ;)

Ring them again. Telephone your Consultants Secretary, you will find that you sometimes need to push and if you dont get a response within a day then phone back. Most ansa phones at all clinics state a response within 24 hours, so if you dont get that, then you need to chase as you have been forgotten...

Over 10 days is about 8 days too long for my patience!

I'd be ringing them every morning and afternoon. Do you think your GP could sort you out with a prescription if you were on insulin initially and are confident you can inject and adjust doses if needed?

asked my gp a couple of months ago and hes says he can t do anything regarding insulin, has to get the go ahead from the consultant :)

Thnx I've had trouble getting through to them so many times.

Can't believe they are taking so long! Ring them morning and afternoon as someone else said, if not perhaps go into the doctors in person and ask to be seen. It's not good enough.

Hope you get sorted :)

You should also let your GP know that you cannot get hold of consultant and could they telephone the consultant and get agreement over the phone opinion the interim.
You do not actually have to see the doc for this, a telephone appt with your GP should be enough to ask for the GP to help.
